"He hasn't exactly done wonders for my career."
"This is master thespian of stage and screen, Frank Langella. When the gentlemen at Timecode approached me to comment on the phenomenon of being mistaken for Robert Loggia, I was happy to oblige. I do this because I'd like to set the record straight.
I'm often approached on the street, in restaurants and in elevators by average citizens who say, 'Hey, aren't you Robert Loggia?'. To be perfectly honest with you, this hurts my feelings every time. I've never been in a movie with Robert Loggia. To my knowledge I've never met Robert Loggia. I don't feel like I look particularly like Robert Loggia. He and I are of different ages. We're of a different caliber of acting. I'm not sure I like Robert Loggia, to be perfectly honest. So what I'd like to say is, 'Please stop referring to me as Robert Loggia.'
When you see me on the street I'd much rather you say, 'Hey, aren't you the guy from Dave? Aren't you the guy who got an Academy Award nomination for Frost/Nixon?'. That would make me feel better. That would make me feel more appreciated. At any rate, this is Frank Langella, not Robert Loggia, signing off."
