Episode 1 - Independence Day: Jerry Bruckheimer reflects on the film

Jerry's thoughts on how the movie influenced him and how he'd like to use Jeff Goldblum in a future project.

"Hey, everybody, it's your boy Jerry Bruckheimer. The guys at Timecode asked me to say a few things about Independence Day. First of all, it's a tremendous movie, I saw it in the theater. It made a big impression on me, if fact, my next few movies including Armageddon and Con Air I tried to pack in as many explosions as I could because I thought the explosions in Independence Day were just incredible. I love watching stuff blow up and, yeah, I felt like Roland Emmerich did a spectacular job, in fact, that's why I picked him to direct Armageddon. A lot of people don't know that.

Jeff Goldblum is a real interesting guy. He's got that real interesting look and he's very tall, he's very sexual and I've always kind of had a thing for him. Jeff, if you're listening to this, I'd love to get you in the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie, I think you'd be tremendous. You could be like a half-skeleton-half-cyclops-pirate thing, I don't know. We'll have you come and popping up out of the sea and sinking a bunch of boats. I'm picturing you like, enormous. A thousand feet tall! Causing a bunch of waves. Fighting with Zeus, something like that, you know? Johnny Depp's like yelling at you like, '[incoherent]', and then you guys have a big fight at the end.

I think the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie is probably going to be like five hours long but anyway, I'm rambling, Independence Day was great and I really appreciate having the chance to talk about it. So yeah, thanks, you guys, this was fun."
